Hey Jude
Recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals for Wilson Pickett's 1969 album, this Beatles cover peaked at number 13 on the Billboard R&B chart and number 23 on the Hot 100. Guitarist Duane Allman's performance on the track drew Eric Clapton's attention and launched Allman's prolific session career, with Jimmy Johnson crediting it as the beginning of Southern Rock.
