Highway Star
Written by Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, and Ian Paice, this opening track from Machine Head is the fastest tempo song on Deep Purple's 1972 album. The song is characterised by long, classically inspired guitar and organ solos.
