Written by Morrissey and Johnny Marr, this track was originally released as a B-side to "William, It Was Really Nothing" in 1984, then included on the North American edition of "Meat Is Murder" in 1985. Johnny Marr created the distinctive guitar tremolo effect that defined the song's sound. Love Spit Love later recorded a cover version that served as the theme song for the television series "Charmed."
