Written by David Bowie and co-produced by Nile Rodgers of Chic, this song was recorded in late 1982 at the Power Station in New York City and features guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. Released as the lead single from Bowie's 1983 album of the same name, it became his biggest-selling single, topping the charts in numerous countries including the UK and the US, with its music video filmed in Australia providing commentary on the treatment of Aboriginal Australians.
