This 1971 single, written by Al Green, Al Jackson Jr., and Willie Mitchell, topped both the Billboard Hot 100 (for 16 weeks on the chart) and the R&B chart (for nine weeks), becoming the eleventh-highest selling song of 1972. Produced and recorded by Willie Mitchell and mixed by Mitchell and Terry Manning, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 and selected by the Library of Congress for the National Recording Registry in 2010.
