Released in May 2005 as the first single from Don't Believe the Truth, Noel Gallagher wrote this track which he described as "specifically designed for pogoing" and "the poppiest thing since 'Roll with It'". The song marked Oasis's first single with Zak Starkey (son of Ringo Starr and drummer for the Who) as an additional drummer, following the departure of long-time drummer Alan White.
