Written by Reggie Calloway, Belinda Lipscomb, and Bo Watson for Midnight Star's album Planetary Invasion, this 1984 single hit number one on the US R&B Singles chart for five weeks in late 1984 and early 1985. The song peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, remaining Midnight Star's only top 40 hit on that chart. The music video features the band performing on stage with scenes depicting emergency services telephone operators in a control room singing to the lyrics.
