Out of Touch
Written by Daryl Hall and John Oates for their 1984 album Big Bam Boom, "Out of Touch" became their sixth and final Billboard Hot 100 number-one single, topping the chart for two weeks in December 1984. According to John Oates, he created the chorus while experimenting with a synthesizer he didn't know how to use, initially envisioning it as a Philly sound song for the Stylistics before a co-producer suggested it should be a Hall & Oates hit.
