Over the Hills and Far Away

Written by Gary Moore and released in December 1986 from his album Wild Frontier, "Over the Hills and Far Away" peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart. The song topped the charts in both Finland and Norway, becoming most successful in the Nordic countries. The Chieftains appear on the recording and in the video, and Moore performed the song with the group at their 25th anniversary TV show in 1988.
