Written by Paul Banks, Carlos Dengler, and Daniel Kessler, "PDA" was released on August 22, 2002 as the debut single from Interpol's first studio album Turn on the Bright Lights. The song, which appeared on many of the band's early demos and EPs including their first demo tape, was nominated for an MTV2 award in 2003 and features a music video directed by Christopher Mills.
