Written by Tim Commerford, Tom Morello, Zack de la Rocha, and Brad Wilk in 1992, this track from Evil Empire addresses the Zapatista revolution after de la Rocha visited Chiapas in southern Mexico. Released as the album's second single on August 26, 1996, it was nominated for a Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy in 1998, though it lost to The Smashing Pumpkins' "The End Is the Beginning Is the End."
