Written by Duke Erikson, Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig from Garbage's self-titled debut album, this subdued trip hop and rock crossover was the band's first top-20 hit on both the US Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart and the UK Singles Chart. The music video by Stéphane Sednaoui, featuring Manson detaining, stripping and shaving a man from a first-person perspective, gained significant MTV airplay and was nominated for Breakthrough Video at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards.
