Co-written and co-produced by Michael Bolton and Robert John "Mutt" Lange, this song was released in October 1993 as the first single from Bolton's ninth album The One Thing. The single topped the American and Canadian adult contemporary charts and reached the top 10 in the United States and three other countries. The song earned Bolton a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 37th Grammy Awards.
