See No Evil
This opening track from Television's 1977 debut album Marquee Moon showcased the band's departure from contemporary punk rock toward jazz-inspired guitar interplay. The album was recorded at A & R Recording in September 1976 after Television had become a prominent act in the New York music scene. Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd's guitar work on the record would prove foundational to alternative rock, influencing post-punk, new wave, and indie rock movements.
