Written by Marvin Gaye, David Ritz, and Odell Brown, "Sexual Healing" was Gaye's first single after leaving Motown and was recorded for his final studio album Midnight Love (1982). The song peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Gaye's final top 10 hit, and is listed at number 198 on Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
