Written by Sam Endicott, John Hill, and Shakira, this lead single from Shakira's eighth studio album marked a shift from her traditional Latin pop to electropop with folk and world music influences. Released in July 2009, the song reached the top ten in several countries alongside its Spanish-language version "Loba". Executive producers Shakira and Amanda Ghost enlisted collaborators including The Neptunes, Wyclef Jean, and Timbaland for the album, which was certified double platinum in Colombia and Mexico.
