Written and produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke for Clarkson's 2004 album Breakaway, this track was originally intended for Pink who turned it down, then Hilary Duff who couldn't reach its higher notes. The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 48th Grammy Awards, with Rolling Stone ranking it at number 93 of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2021.
