A shorter 1991 re-release with new lyrics via Fontana Records reached number two on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the 20th best-selling single of 1991 in the UK. Written by Tim Booth, Jim Glennie, Larry Gott, and Gavan Whelan, it placed fourth in a 2013 BBC Radio 2 poll of greatest tracks to miss number one.
