Released as a single from Portishead's debut album Dummy in August 1994, this trip hop track by Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons, and Adrian Utley became the band's biggest crossover hit, reaching the Alternative Airplay chart in the US. The music video was directed by Alexander Hemming. NME ranked it number 32 among the best songs of 1994, while Slant Magazine placed it at number 77 in their list of the 100 best singles of the 1990s.
