Stranded in the Jungle
The New York Dolls' 1974 "Stranded in the Jungle" is a cover of a song originally recorded by the doo-wop group the Jay Hawks, written by Ernestine Smith and band tenor James Johnson. The Dolls reworked the doo-wop original into their glam rock style.
