Stray Cat Strut

Written by Brian Setzer and released from Stray Cats' 1981 debut album, this rockabilly track peaked at number 11 in the UK and eventually reached number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in March 1983 after being re-released following the success of "Rock This Town". The music video, which received extensive airplay on MTV during the channel's early days, shows the band performing in an alley while an irate resident throws things at them, and also featured scenes from the 1949 MGM cartoon Bad Luck Blackie.
