Written and performed by Stevie Wonder, "Superstition" was released in October 1972 as the lead single from his album Talking Book, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1973. The song earned Wonder two Grammys at the 16th Grammy Awards for Best Rhythm & Blues Song and Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male, and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998.
