Written, produced, and sung by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher in mid-2004 for Oasis's sixth studio album Don't Believe the Truth, this song debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart in August 2005. It marked the first time Oasis earned two successive UK number ones in the same calendar year and proved to be the band's last UK number one before their 2009 break-up, with Gallagher taking the title from the book of the same name he found while cleaning out a garage.
