The living Years
Written by B.A. Robertson and Mike Rutherford, "The Living Years" was released in December 1988 and topped the US Billboard Hot 100 on March 25, 1989. The ballad, which addresses a son's regret over unresolved conflict with his deceased father, won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically in 1989 and was awarded a 4-Million-Air citation by BMI in 2004.
