The Next Movement

From The Roots' fourth album Things Fall Apart (1999), this hip hop track was written by Black Thought, Jimmy Gray, Hub, Mercedes Martinez, Tracey Moore, and ?uestlove, featuring scratching from DJ Jazzy Jeff and background vocals from R&B duo Jazzyfatnastees. The music video was directed by Charles Stone III, and Randall Roberts of the Riverfront Times called it "one of the best singles of the '90s".
