Released in July 1994 as the follow-up to "Regulate," this second single from Warren G's debut album Regulate...G Funk Era became his second consecutive top-10 hit, peaking at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and receiving gold certification from the RIAA. Warren G revealed in 2023 that Snoop Dogg wrote the chorus and was supposed to perform it, but label discrepancies prevented his involvement and credit.
