Time After Time
Written by Cyndi Lauper and Rob Hyman from her debut album She's So Unusual (1983), this song was inspired by a title Lauper saw in TV Guide referring to the 1979 science fiction film Time After Time. The track became Lauper's first No. 1 hit in the United States, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in June 1984 and earning a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year.
