Co-written by Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Geri Halliwell, Andy Watkins, and Paul Wilson, "Too Much" was released on December 8, 1997, as the second single from the Spice Girls' album Spiceworld. The song topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks, becoming the group's second consecutive Christmas number-one single and their sixth consecutive chart-topper, making them the first act to have its first six singles reach number one in the United Kingdom. Directed by Howard Greenhalgh, the music video features each Spice Girl in their own individual scene playing different characters inspired by their own film fantasies.
