"Too Shy" was written by Steve Askew, Nick Beggs, Limahl, Stuart Croxford Neale, and Jez Strode, released in January 1983 as the first single from Kajagoogoo's debut album White Feathers. The song reached number one on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks and spent five weeks at number one in Germany, later peaking at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 where it became Kajagoogoo's only significant US hit.
