Trans-Europe Express
The title track from Kraftwerk's sixth studio album, recorded in Düsseldorf in 1976 and released in March 1977, celebrates the European railway service. Written by Ralf Hütter and Emil Schult, the album ranked number 30 in The Village Voice's 1977 Pazz & Jop critics' poll and was later called "the most important pop album of the last 40 years" by the Los Angeles Times in 2014.
