Released as the lead single from Hilary Duff's first compilation album Most Wanted on July 12, 2005, this 1980s-influenced dance-pop song was written by Duff and the Dead Executives (Jason Epperson, Joel Madden, and Benji Madden) with the intention of having a "totally different sound" from her previous material. The song became a top-ten hit in Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, and the United Kingdom, with its music video featuring Duff leaving her house and attending various nightclubs and parties.
