What A Girl Wants
Written by Shelly Peiken and Guy Roche as "What a Girl Needs", the song was originally released by French singer Ophélie Winter in 1998 before being pitched to RCA Records and re-titled for Christina Aguilera's debut album. The newly produced re-recorded version became her second consecutive Billboard Hot 100 number-one single and is recognized as the first Hot 100 number-one single of the 2000s, also topping charts in Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, and Spain.
