What A Wonderful World
Written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss, "What a Wonderful World" was first recorded by Louis Armstrong on August 16, 1967. The song topped the UK pop chart in April 1968 but performed poorly in the US initially because ABC Records president Larry Newton refused to promote it. After appearing in the film Good Morning, Vietnam, it was reissued in 1988 and rose to number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
