Wind It Up
Originally written for Stefani's Harajuku Lovers Tour, this track was released as the lead single from her second solo album The Sweet Escape on 31 October 2006. The song contains an interpolation of "The Lonely Goatherd" from Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, influencing its accompanying music video directed by Sophie Muller. Despite unfavorable reviews from critics who criticized its use of yodeling, the song reached the top 20 in many music markets.
