You Were Meant for Me

Written by Jewel and Steve Poltz for her debut album Pieces of You, this 1995 song about a failed relationship reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. When reissued in 1997 with the unreleased "Foolish Games," the combined single spent 65 weeks in the Hot 100 top 100, which at the time was a record, and ranked at number 17 on Billboard's All Time chart in 2013.
