Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Emerson, Lake & Palmer formed in London in 1970, bringing together keyboardist Keith Emerson from The Nice, bassist/vocalist Greg Lake from King Crimson, and drummer Carl Palmer from Atomic Rooster. The progressive rock trio became known for their virtuosic performances and adaptations of classical works, including their interpretation of Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man." Their self-titled debut album featured "Lucky Man," and the band released several successful albums throughout the 1970s.
