Blondie
Blondie formed in New York City in 1974, emerging from the downtown punk and new wave scene at CBGB with frontwoman Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein at the core. The band achieved commercial breakthrough with "Parallel Lines" (1978), which spawned the disco-influenced "Heart of Glass." Blondie successfully incorporated elements of punk, disco, reggae, and rap into their pop sound, particularly evident on their 1980 album "Autoamerican."
