New Order
New Order formed in Manchester in 1980 from the remaining members of Joy Division following Ian Curtis's death. The band merged post-punk with electronic dance music, creating an influential sound that shaped alternative and dance music throughout the 1980s. "Blue Monday" (1983) became the best-selling 12-inch single of all time, while albums like "Power, Corruption & Lies" and "Technique" demonstrated their evolving synthesis of guitars and synthesizers across three decades.
