Everclear

Everclear formed in Portland, Oregon in 1991, led by singer-songwriter Art Alexakis with a post-grunge and alternative rock sound. The band achieved mainstream breakthrough with their 1995 album "Sparkle and Fade," followed by the highly successful "So Much for the Afterglow" in 1997. Alexakis's confessional songwriting often dealt with themes of childhood trauma, addiction, and divorce. The band continued recording into the 2000s with varying lineup changes around Alexakis as the constant member.
