Jackie Ross

Jackie Ross was a Chicago soul singer who recorded for Chess Records subsidiary SAR Records in the mid-1960s. Her 1964 single "Selfish One" became her biggest hit, reaching the top ten on the R&B charts. Ross continued recording throughout the 1960s and 1970s, working with various Chicago-based labels and remaining part of the city's thriving soul scene.
