Kingsmen

The Kingsmen were a rock band from Portland, Oregon who recorded their famously raw version of "Louie Louie" in 1963. The song's nearly unintelligible vocals sparked an FBI investigation into supposedly obscene lyrics, though none were ever found. Their garage rock sound on this single influenced countless bands and became one of the most recognized recordings of the 1960s.
