Mase
Mase, born Mason Betha in Jacksonville, Florida, rose to prominence in 1997 as part of Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs' Bad Boy Records roster. His debut album Harlem World went multi-platinum and spawned several hits including "Feel So Good," which sampled Kool & the Gang's "Hollywood Swinging." After achieving significant commercial success, Mase shocked the music industry by retiring in 1999 to pursue ministry, though he later returned to recording.
