Mike + The Mechanics

Mike + The Mechanics was formed in 1985 by Genesis bassist Mike Rutherford as a side project featuring vocalists Paul Carrack and Paul Young. The group achieved international success with their thoughtful pop-rock sound, particularly on their 1988 album "Living Years." Their songs often dealt with mature themes of communication and loss, distinguishing them from typical 1980s pop acts.
