Peter Gabriel

Peter Gabriel co-founded Genesis in 1967 and led the progressive rock band as frontman until 1975, when he left for a solo career marked by art-rock experimentation and groundbreaking music videos. His 1986 album So produced 'Sledgehammer', whose stop-motion video became one of MTV's most awarded ever, and 'In Your Eyes' became a cultural touchstone via the film Say Anything. He has long combined commercial pop with world music collaborations through his WOMAD festival and Real World label.
