로버타 플랙 Roberta Flack
Roberta Flack emerged from North Carolina as a soul and jazz vocalist in the late 1960s. Her 1972 single "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" spent six weeks at number one and won the Grammy for Record of the Year. Flack followed with more hits including "Killing Me Softly with His Song" and duets with Donny Hathaway. Her warm, intimate vocal style made her one of the most successful R&B artists of the 1970s.
