Sarah McLachlan

Sarah McLachlan emerged from Halifax, Nova Scotia in the late 1980s, developing a distinctive style blending folk, pop, and art rock. Her albums "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" (1993) and "Surfacing" (1997) established her as a major adult contemporary artist. McLachlan also founded the Lilith Fair tour in 1997, creating a significant platform for female musicians while songs like "Angel" and "Building a Mystery" became her signature works.
