Snow, born Darrin O'Brien in Toronto, recorded his debut album "12 Inches of Snow" while serving time in jail. Released in 1992, the album featured "Informer," which topped charts worldwide with Snow's distinctive reggae-influenced vocal delivery and rapid-fire patois. The track's unique sound and controversial lyrics made it one of the best-selling reggae fusion singles ever recorded by a white artist.
