Suicidal Tendencies
Suicidal Tendencies started in Venice, California in 1980, led by vocalist Mike Muir. The band combined hardcore punk with metal influences, helping create the crossover thrash sound. Their 1983 self-titled debut album featured "Institutionalized," which became an underground anthem. Suicidal Tendencies continued through multiple lineup changes and evolved into a more technical thrash metal direction in later years.
