Tag Team was an Atlanta-based hip-hop duo consisting of Cecil Glenn and Steve Gibson, who scored one of the biggest party anthems of 1993 with "Whoomp! (There It Is)". The track, built around a simple chant and infectious bassline, became a sports arena staple and sold millions of copies. Their debut album "Whoomp! (There It Is)" capitalized on the single's success, though the duo struggled to replicate their initial breakthrough.
