The Hooters
The Hooters formed in Philadelphia in 1980, led by Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian, who incorporated the melodica (which they called a "hooter") into their rock sound. Their 1985 album "Nervous Night" achieved major commercial success and included the hits "And We Danced" and "Day by Day." The band gained additional recognition when Hyman co-wrote Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time," one of the biggest songs of 1984.
